Our team of addiction, medical, and mental health professionals work together to provide our clients with the best possible care in the Louisville area. We understand the impact of addiction and poor mental health on a person’s overall quality of life. That is why our team is dedicated to helping all our clients achieve their treatment goals.
We help our clients by providing care that involves all aspects of a person’s life. This is because mental health and substance use disorders impact a person’s ability to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. Therefore, our programs offer much more than just addiction or mental health treatment. We also help improve other areas of our clients’ lives to give them the best chance of a successful recovery.
While there are several rehab centers in the Louisville area, we focus on the whole person in recovery rather than just getting a person sober or stable. Therefore, we offer services that address other important parts of life, such as family, life skills, and physical well-being. To accomplish this, our services are tailored to meet each client’s needs in recovery. In this way, we hope to not only treat addiction but to improve the overall quality of life of each person to walk through our doors.
The following services set us apart from other facilities:
Addiction and mental health disorders affect the entire family. In addition, a healthy and happy home environment is crucial to long-term recovery. That is why we invite families to join in the recovery process. The Louisville Addiction Center even has family nights with both therapists and clients. As a result, our clients improve the most important relationships in their lives and build a support system to prevent relapse.
Mental health and substance use disorders are sometimes rooted in traumatic experiences. These experiences can range from childhood neglect and abuse to sexual assault and combat trauma from service in the military. Some people cope with trauma in unhealthy ways, like avoidance or substance abuse. In some cases, a person can develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result. That is why we have two unique offerings at our Louisville rehab center: EMDR and Brainspotting. Both of these treatments specifically treat trauma-related mental health disorders.
While traditional, evidence-based treatment methods like talk therapy and MAT help clients greatly, poor mental health and addiction also impact a person’s physical and spiritual health. By including holistic treatment in our programs, our clients improve their ability to manage stress and feel healthier overall. At our treatment center, we offer holistic programs, such as:
In addition, these programs offer new ways of coping with mental health symptoms as well as substance abuse triggers. They can also open up new avenues to meet other like-minded individuals focused on health and wellness.
Successful treatment for addiction and mental health disorders involves making connections in the recovery community as well as having the foundation to find happiness in life. For these reasons, we introduce our clients to 12-Step recovery and teach valuable life skills during treatment. A sense of belonging is crucial for long-term recovery. Most 12-Step groups are available in all communities and even online. These groups build a foundation for support and consistency that many in recovery need. Additionally, developing life skills can help clients rebuild their lives following the adverse consequences of substance abuse.
One of the therapeutic principles at our Louisville rehab center is that we must meet our clients where they are in recovery. To best serve each person, we offer three levels of outpatient care. That way, a person can enter our program with an appropriate amount of support. However, recovery is not always a linear process. Therefore, our clients have treatment options to take a step back to a higher level of care while working with the same provider.
We offer the following levels of care at Louisville Addiction Center:
Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) occur during the day for several hours four to five days per week. PHP offers a lot of structure and support to those in the earlier stages of recovery. This program is the highest level of care available in our outpatient programs.
Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are built around structure and a variety of treatments. However, scheduling for IOP is more flexible than for PHP. While IOPs don’t offer a high level of support as PHP, these programs allow for more flexibility to tend to other duties like work, school, and family.
Our outpatient therapy programs are here for clients who need some guidance as they practice their recovery skills in everyday life. Most clients will meet with a one-on-one therapist or in a group for about one hour per week. That way, our clients can continue their growth and recovery since they have the skills to stay healthy without high levels of care.
