Zack Bowden
Executive Director
Zack serves as the Executive Director at Louisville Addiction Center, where he brings over a decade of experience and a deep personal commitment to helping others achieve lasting recovery. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Zack’s path to addiction recovery work began with his own transformative journey. After his life was impacted by substance use, he sought treatment in 2013, finding hope and healing through the compassion of those around him. This experience sparked a lifelong dedication to helping others rebuild their lives in the same way.
For Zack, the most rewarding part of his work is seeing clients regain hope and vitality. He finds immense joy in watching individuals who enter treatment feeling lost and hopeless transform into people who are full of life and ready to embrace a brighter future. His approach to leadership is grounded in humility and empathy. “I try to make sure clients know that, although I might be further along in terms of days sober, I am no better or worse than any of them; we are all shoulder to shoulder in recovery,” he says.
Outside of his role, Zack prioritizes family time with his wife, their children. He also enjoys live music, trying new foods, and watching movies. Deeply engaged in his own recovery and spiritual practice, Zack brings both personal insight and professional dedication to his work, making him a trusted leader and an inspiring presence at LAC.
